This Barska Biometric AX11224 Fingerprint Gun Safe is perfect for storing away your valuable goods, guns, and other items from falling into the wrong hands. It opens with a touch of only your finger print and prevents access to all others.
This unit beeps whenever it is unlocked. It doesn’t have a removable shelf so storing things vertically can be a challenge.
You can program your prints in different positions to ensure easy and fast access. It opens in around 1 and a half seconds. You first have to press a button next to the scanner before scanning your finger. We have tested out trying to open the safe with other prints and never had a problem. It’s a good size for our needs and fits underneath our bed. It seems very stable and strong, it’s made out of steel.
After looking at many biometric safes, this one was the best in terms of price and quality. I have been very happy with my it. The safe is steel and quite strong. I am able to put 4 handguns and ammo with room to spare. The fingerprint recognition has worked flawlessly every time. I have the unit bolted to a closet wall. It is very secure and I’m sure will deter anyone from trying to steal it.
You probably won’t be putting any hunting rifles or shot guns in here, but for pistols and smallarms, it’s the perfect safe.
